I arrived in England on July 6, 1939, six
days before my 11th birthday. After a short
stay at a hostel a christian family in the
north east of England volunteered to give
me a home.
I was very happy there and no attempt
was made to convert me to the christian
religion. I stayed with Mr. & Mrs. Ferguson
for four years.
